What was the food highlight of your year?
The food highlight of my year was hosting an underground dinner on an old icebreaker ship in the SF port. We did an all seafood themed menu with a VIP molecular oyster and champagne floor overlooking the old Oakland wood dining table below. We feasted on local seafood while listening to sea shanties all night. Words and photos barely did justice and the experience was one that each guest will never forget.....
What was the music highlight of your year?
Going to Treasure Island Music festival this year for free and learning of Janelle Monae. What a beauiful and creative woman with a talented voice. She made my day and gave me a new Pandora station to expand my musical horizon with.
Was there a moment when food and music came together in a memorable way?
The Behind the Cart dinner I mentioned. I always try and bring music to the table but nothing was more fitting then three people with accordions telling tales of the high seas while guests dined below on the ocean's bounty.
