What was the food highlight of your year?
My wife and I found a 10lb., uncooked prime rib in our deep freeze that was leftover from our wedding dinner two years ago. We thawed that shit out and had ourselves a feast, just in time for the season finale of 'Game Of Thrones.' It was probably my most epic meal of the year.
What was the music highlight of your year?
Weezer are my all-time favorite band, so any highlight this year is tied to them, from going on the Weezer Cruise in February to getting to interview them for the cover of AP in July to having their new album, 'Everything Will Be Alright In The End,' permanently glued inside my car stereo since its release (and I should point out that I bought it on cassette, because my car's CD player doesn't work but the tape deck still does).
Was there a moment when food and music came together in a memorable way?
It would probably be going out to dinner at Cleveland's finest grilled cheese establishment Melt Bar & Grilled the night before the inaugural AP Music Awards with a whole crew of musicians, record label folks and even pro wrestler CM Punk. Nothing like carbo loading with a massive grilled cheese sammy and some beer directly in front of your straight-edge idol!
